Biryani is the most popular dish made on special occasions. The best biryani in Pakistan is found in certain places. There are different types of biryani and there method of cooking is also different. Let’s step down to make beef biryani step by step.

  1. In a pot, add oil and Onion, fry onion until golden brown; take out half quantity of fried onions for later use.
  2. Then in remaining fried onion add beef and mix well until meat changes color.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well for 2 minutes.
  4. Cover the pot and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  5. Then add tomatoes and mix well.
  6. Next add water, mix and bring it to boil; cover with lid and cook on low flame until meat is tender.
  7. Then add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon sticks; mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Then add yogurt and mix well.
  9. Add lemon juice and fresh coriander; mix well and cook until oil separate and set aside.
  10. For assembling:
  11. In a separate pot, add boiled rice, beef gravy masala, lemon slices, tomato slices, fresh coriander and add remaining boiled rice.
  12. In water add food color; mix well and drizzle over biryani.
  13. Cover and cook on low flame for 8 to 10 minutes.
  14. Remove and serve with raita.
